The reel film-acting studio trains actors to look natural and professional by teaching our on camera; "watch and learn method". We prepare the actor for what they will be experiencing when they are working on a film set with camera's, film crew, lights and a director.

These demo reels are invaluable. They show the actors abilities and can be used on auditions and can give an actor the edge over their competition.

   

Our film classes are taught at our studio. We train on our film set using state of the art lighting, props, sound and cameras. We then monitor the scenes in our viewing room so the actors can see for themselves their mistakes, as well as their best takes. These scenes are filmed incorporating "the extreme close-up" where we can study the actors every move.

Filmmaker Billy Yeager grew up on the film sets in the 1960's watching his aunt "Bunny Yeager" and his father Ray direct and act in motion pictures. Billy has produced short films, documentaries and has written produced and directed several feature films.

  

Billy founded The Acting Factory in 1999. It was the only acting school that produced and edited demo reels for actors. He filmed his students with cameras on real locations, used lights, sound and film crew. The actors would do several takes for each of their lines, sometimes 20 to 30 times. The group of actors would go back to the studio to watch the days filming.

   

    

 

This method is proven. It is successful because the camera doesn't lie. We do not teach theatre acting there is a substantial difference in acting technique. This is why we are called the reel film acting studio, we specialize in 'Film Acting".    


"Acting" SHOULD NOT look like "acting" . Great acting looks natural and you will not only look natural with our on- camera method, but you will "become" more natural. Films are filmed using real environment settings whether it is a café, restaurant, kitchen or a bedroom. These are natural settings but are filmed with   "unnatural" surroundings with a cameraman, sound crew, lights, and a director scrutinizing your every move. These are the facts. So how could you expect yourself to look comfortable and act natural on a real film set, if you have been trained like an amateur learning film acting from a theatre stage or sitting in a chair in front of a camera? Our method proves this is the only way to train, and you can "see it for yourself". This is why we have become one of the nations most successful acting studios. We want to build a reputation because we are also a talent management company and we continue to produce films every year so we take this very seriously and so should you. We require auditions. Unlike most other acting schools that will accept everyone and their money you must audition "on camera" and be accepted by our staff and teachers to qualify.

Have you ever taken classes with 15 other people ones who show up late, did not prepare or learn their lines? Did you ever have to act in a scene with someone who wasn't as serious about this as yourself and asked yourself   why those people were excepted into the class?

We don't fill our class's full of students. We only have classes of 6 to 8 students. That is half the amount than most schools. We decided to operate this way because we know the actor needs time to warm up and become comfortable. We also want to make sure each student has sufficient time on camera. We also don't want to waste your time on frivolous warm-ups and improve. Your time is valuable and we know you didn't pay your hard-earned money for this. You joined to act for film.

•  For children 6 to 12 years old we recommend our television commercial acting class. There is a substantial amount of work for kids in television commercials and it is an excellent way to put away money for their future or college. There are many television commercials filmed here in Florida and the pay is very lucrative for children and young adults. For 12-17 year olds we recommend our television acting class. This course also prepares you for television soaps and television series.

 

•  Our intense advanced course is for serious actors. This is where we get serious and sometimes dirty and gritty. We go out to film on locations sometimes at night in the woods, or to junkyards, or trailer parks. We do this because we are preparing the actor for their demo reel and we want you to look exceptional. The scenes are filmed just as if you were on a movie set.

All of our different courses offer you the opportunity to have your best acting scenes edited onto a DVD that is professionally made with film titles, credits, and music.

On your "demo reel" and DVD you can introduce yourself and also show many diverse looks and your professional acting abilities that you have trained for on camera. This is the future if you   want to act in films. Director's watch these demo reels because headshots alone will not show that you can act.
