Have you noticed in today's society so much talent regarding our youth? Billy Yeager has been working with young talent arranging and writing songs, managing groups with The Universal Group management.

A lot of the young kids today play instruments such as piano, and guitar they may also try their hand at songwriting writing lyric's and melody's.

Our music composition class is taught by award winning songwriter Billy Yeager.

Billy teaches the students song structure, chords voicing and voice placement and the proper way to compose a hit song.

All songs must have a structure. The typical song has a intro/ verse/ bridge/ chorus/ and is repeated. A hit song is typically around 3 minutes or a little longer.

The beginner songwriter will usually have endless words, to many to fit into the verse so that not enough length is given for each word and there is not a memorable melody. Also the chorus of the song or 'The hook" (the part of the song we usually sing out loud to) does not have enough dynamics. Dynamics are important because the song must build and keep you waiting and wondering where it will lead.

There is so much to be said about songwriting endless books and discussions. Put simply by the pros. "If it were easy everyone could do it. And all artists could keep coming out with hit after hit". Why is it that some of the top artists have a hit one-year, release another album a year later and they never get played on the radio again?

There is your answer to writing a hit song. It is extremely difficult.

Billy Yeager's musical background is extensive. He has written composed and recorded over 700 songs. He has produced 22 of his own albums and has worked with symphony orchestras but he usually plays and records all the instrument's himself. Billy plays, guitar, bass, drums, piano, mandolin, banjo, and, percussion   Billy was discovered by Grammy Award Winner Brcue Hornsby. "  

Bruce has written songs such as "That's just the way it is" and "Mandolin Rain". Bruce has written and played on other artists songs such as Don Henleys "End of the innocence" and Bonnie Riates   "I can't make you love me". ( see article)

He was recently discovered again by Rod Stewart and Billy has been talking to Rod about songs for an up-coming rock album.

Billy was signed to management in 1995 and also had a development deal with Capitol Records. He was a finalist in "The Miller High Life's Rock to Rich's Talent Search in 1983.

He has been the featured performer for the "Song writers in the round event" that takes place every year in Nashville where 100's of songwriters convene together to talk about songwriting and song publishing. Billy was this years-featured performer he was chosen out of 100's of applicants.

He has recorded with the world famous reggae band   "Inner Circle"   Bad Boy's ( Cops theme) he was the guitar player from 1985 until 1987 touring nationally with the band and also recorded with Rita and Pearl Marley at Inner Circle's studio, Circle Sound.

It takes years of writing and making mistakes to learn the mastery of songwriting. Just to perform one song for friends and family who wont loose attention of your performance is difficult. This class you will learn structure, melody, format, melody and proper lyric choices.

This class is a must for every artist, singer, songwriter that wants to succeed in the business of music.
