Rick Mckay and Billy Yeager

Rick asked Billy for a personal copy of Jimmy's Story since the filmmakers were sometimes too busy to catch each other's films. Rick's next festival where "Broadway" is suppose to   screen is at The Dahlonega International Film Festival. Rick calls Dean Treadway Dahlonega's program director and tells him about Billy's film and that Dean should see the film and consider it as an entry into the 2003 DIFF.

Dean Treadway;   Dahlonega International Film Programmer

This great film, this near masterpiece of amateur filmmaking, a Sundance reject that deserves to tower above most of their eventual winners, is about one mans perseverance in believing that there is a better future out there.

Out of the 700 films that were entered into the 2003 DIFF, Jimmy's Story is the one that moved me most to tears of joy and frustration, of hope and the love of moviemaking.

I urge every person to drop whatever there doing and rush out and see Yeager's great film.

Billy Yeager wins

•  Best Documentary

•  Best First Feature

•  Best Folk Film
